Alberta names new chief medical officer of health

Dr. James Talbot has been appointed Alberta's new chief medical officer of health.
Talbot has been a senior medical officer since 2009 and an associate clinical professor in the school of public health at the University of Alberta for the last eight years.
He was also the chief medical officer of health for Nunavut.
Talbot takes over from Dr. André Corriveau who is returning to Yellowknife and his old job as the chief medical officer for the Northwest Territories.
