Calgary police are investigating two separate sexual assaults that were reported early Sunday morning.
A 26-year-old woman was walking home from her job in the downtown, along a path way near Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail S.E. just before 2 a.m. MT Sunday when she was approached by a man.
Police say he sexually assaulted her, then ran away.
“The suspect is described as follows white male, bald or very short hair, wearing a grey shirt, dark pants and a skinny build,” said Insp. Paul Malchow.
Police were alerted to another case just before 7 a.m. MT Sunday in the community of Rideau Park.
A 22-year-old woman told police she had been sexually assaulted. It's believed the woman may have been attacked in a nearby apartment complex.
The Calgary police sex crimes unit is investigating both cases.
