The homicide unit has taken over the investigation into the disappearance of 24-year-old Ryan Lane. (Calgary Police Service)The homicide unit is now leading the investigation into the disappearance of a Calgary man.
24-year-old Ryan Lane was last seen in the early hours of Feb. 7 in the 5200 block of Country Hills Boulevard N.W.
Investigators have identified suspects they believe are involved in his disappearance but they have been uncooperative, police said.
“This is very out of character for Ryan Lane and that is taken into consideration as to why we have ... moved this file to the homicide unit now,” said Staff Sgt. Grant Miller.
Police and volunteers searched the Spy Hill landfill and a nearby cement factory over the weekend but have no other leads.
Lane is five feet nine inches tall and weighed 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, and a tattoo on his right upper arm.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
