Calgary man facing 77 child porn charges
Accused of communicating with victims in chat rooms

A 25-year-old Calgary man is facing 77 child pornography charges.
Police said there are 16 victims, all residents of Alberta and ranging in age from 11 to 16.
Daniel Thomas Mackie is charged with making, accessing and distributing child pornography, as well as child luring, invitation to sexual touching, extortion and impersonation.
Police said Mackie communicated with most victims through chat rooms, social media and webcams.
Mackie was arrested this summer in connection to the case.
The investigation goes back to 2009.
The accused was arrested Thursday after a forensic investigation was done on his computers.
Mackie is a former security guard for a private company that provided services to the Calgary Courts Centre.
