Fire destroys home in S.E. Calgary

Fire crews battled a house fire in southeast Calgary on Tuesday night. (CBC)A two-alarm fire devastated a house in southeast Calgary on Tuesday night.
The fire department was called to the single-story home on 18th Street S.E. in Ogden at about 7 p.m.
With flames and smoke coming from the basement, the commander immediately called for a second crew to help bring the blaze under control, officials said.
The fire was extinguished before it spread to any neighbouring homes.
One resident was taken to hospital with burns and minor smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
