Calgary police are trying to find out more about the movements of this white Ford F-150 truck with a blue zig-zag pattern that was used to drop off a severely-injured woman who later died at the Peter Lougheed Centre. (Calgary Police)Calgary's seventh murder victim of the year has been identified as 53-year-old Marcella Ann Rose Gramlich.
The office of the chief medical examiner said she died as a result of blunt force trauma.
Police say she died shortly after she was dropped off at the Peter Lougheed hospital early Friday morning.
While no weapons were used, police told reporters at a press conference Saturday that Gramlich had injuries all over her body.
Around 4 a.m. Friday, a man driving a truck dropped off the injured woman and another woman at the hospital.
Police said the woman and the man, who are friends, were taken into custody for questioning. The man has since been released and has co-operated with the investigation.
Information is being sought from the public on the movements of the white Ford F-150 truck with a blue zig-zag pattern that was used to drop off the victim.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers.
As part of their investigation, police also searched a home on the 5800 block of Memorial Drive Friday.
The Calgary woman who has been charged with the murder was her friend, police said, adding they believe a dispute between the two had escalated.
Diane Ruby Palmantier, 38, has been charged with first-degree murder.
She appeared in court Monday but did not enter a plea. Her case has been held over until Nov. 14.
