A young Calgary woman is the big winner of the Stampede lotteries, claiming the "dream home" prize.
Hairdresser Kylie Bullen, who celebrates her 26th birthday on Thursday, said she is trying to come to terms with her good fortune.
"I'm really, really excited. I've never won anything before," she said.
Mike Casey, the president of the Calgary Stampede, drew the winning ticket on Wednesday. Stampede officials immediately left a message on Bullen's cell phone.
Bullen was driving down MacLeod Trail when her mother called and told her to park before checking her voice mail.
"I really didn't believe it actually. I thought there might be two Kylie Bullens in Calgary," she said.
Bullen says she doesn't know yet what she'll do with the fully furnished house, valued at $725,000, which will be moved from the Stampede grounds to the neighbourhood of Walden in southeast Calgary later in the month.
