Folding bikes will soon be allowed on Calgary buses and C-Trains.

Starting Friday, such bikes will be allowed on buses, as long as they are folded and in a suitable bag or case.

On C-Trains the bikes can be stored unfolded at the front and back of each train car, except during peak times when they have to be folded and properly stored. Peak times on the C-Train are 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The maximum wheel size of the folding bike must be 20 inches.

Some C-Train stations have bike lockers and bike racks, while buses on a handful of routes have bike racks.
