Police found one man dying and two other people hurt after arriving at a northeast home in the middle of the night.

The house, on Marcombe Drive N.E., is known to police, who said they didn't believe the attack was random.

The 911 call came at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

"When we arrived at the scene we located three victims inside the residence and they all had sustained various injuries," said Duty Insp. Paul Stacey.

One man, in his 50s, died in ambulance on the way to the hospital. A female victim, also in her 50s, received serious, life threatening injuries and is in critical condition. Both had shotgun wounds.

A third victim, a male in his 20s, had only superficial injuries.

Investigators, who believe the incident was a targeted home invasion and robbery, are looking for two male suspects.
