Courtesy Shannon ThomsA spring storm that dusted the city in white Thursday afternoon was threatening to develop into thunderstorms in the evening and then drop as much as 10 centimetres of snow overnight, Environment Canada said.

From five to 10 centimetres of snow fell in parts of the city, but most of it didn't last long on the ground.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the Kananaskis and Camore areas.

Between 10 and 20 centimetres could fall before the storm dissipates on Friday, the agency said.

The weather warning also extended north to Nordegg, Hinton and Grand Cache.

Calgary should see a high of 7 C on Friday with the city getting back to double digits by Sunday, Environment Canada said.
