Calgary police are investigating a fatal shooting in a bar in the city's northeast early Saturday.
Duty Insp. Paul Stacey said officers were called to a licensed establishment in the 3700 block of 26 Avenue N.E. at about 3:30 a.m. MT.
"Police were called for reports of a man being shot," Stacey said.
"When the police got there, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound who was in life-threatening condition. He was being treated by EMS [ambulance workers] and was later pronounced dead."
The name of the victim has not been released. Police have not identified any suspects.
The Calgary Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
