Calgary police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted a female shop owner on Thursday morning.
Police say when the woman opened her business in the 3000 block of Centre Street N. at about 9:30 a.m., a man entered the store and exposed himself before grabbing the woman in a sexual manner.
The woman began fighting her attacker and police say when she kicked him in the groin, he fled the premises.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between 25 and 30 years of age, about five feet ten inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds.
Police say he appeared clean-cut and had a medium build with brown hair, a goatee, long sideburns and an olive-toned complexion.
He was wearing a black tuque, a waist-length leather jacket, baggy jeans and loafer-style shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
