Someone stole the minibus from the company's parking lot on the weekend. (CBC) Police have recovered a minibus for children with special needs that was stolen this weekend from a Calgary parking lot.
The shuttle bus was found near Wetaskiwin, outside of Edmonton, Wil Garth, owner of D.R.E.A.M.S. Transportation, told CBC News on Wednesday.
Garth said RCMP are fingerprinting the vehicle.
"It's a sigh of relief that we get our bus back and they actually mentioned it seems like it's all intact and everything that was inside is hopefully there. Fingers crossed," said Garth.
He credited media attention for uncovering the bus, which transports children with disabilities to school, therapy and the hospital, as well as seniors.
The bus, which was recently purchased after two others broke down in the cold, was stolen from the company's parking lot on Saturday.
