Calgary police hope a dark image of a man approaching a southwest synagogue and a shot of a pickup truck will help them find those responsible for anti-Semitic graffiti on several Jewish properties over the weekend.

Police released images from a surveillance camera on Tuesday that show a man in front of the Chabad Lubavitch centre in the Woodbine neighbourhood on Saturday around 10 p.m.

Ten minutes later, the footage reveals a truck in the area.

Investigators want to find the man, who, they say, "may have information relating to the offences." They also want to speak to the driver of the truck, who might also have information that helps their investigation.

They are asking anyone who recognizes either of the individuals to contact police.

Some time on the weekend, swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans, including "Kill Jews" and "Six million more," were spray-painted on the Jewish Community Centre near 90th Avenue and Jerusalem Road S.W., the Holocaust memorial in front of it and the House of Jacob synagogue a block away.

Graffiti was also found on a community mailbox, a private residence and a wall in the same Pump Hill neighbourhood.

Vandals also struck the Chabad Lubavitch centre, a bus shelter and a community mailbox in Woodbine.
