Police found Barry Neil Godwin dead inside this Marlborough home on Tuesday. (CBC) A man found dead in a northeast home was stabbed to death, police confirmed on Friday.
Barry Neil Godwin, 48, of Calgary, was found in the home in the 900 block of 38th Avenue N.E. on Tuesday after police responded to a call to check on someone's welfare.
An autopsy confirmed Godwin's cause of death, police said on Friday. Investigators believe the attack was targeted.
A woman who was also found in the Marlborough home was questioned, but has been released, said police.
The homicide unit continues to investigate, but police released no further details.
Godwin is Calgary's 20th homicide victim of 2009.
