Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man in connection with the slaying of a Calgary father in his home a year ago.

Daniel Jacob Levesque, 29, a carpenter and a father of two, was found dead in his southwest townhouse in June 2008.

On Monday, police announced that Aaron Lee Stevens, 25, is wanted for first-degree murder. He may be in the Lethbridge area or Edmonton, police said.

Police described Stevens as a six-foot-tall aboriginal man, weighing 149 pounds, with brown eyes and moles on his face.

"He also has a scar on his chin and his right hand, as well as a tattoo on his left hand. Stevens also goes by the aliases Nicholas George Stevens, Charlie Lloyd Breaker, A-Trey, Tray and Renn," police said in a release.

Police also revealed Monday that a third person has been charged in connection with Levesque's death.

Tania Marie Gaulin, 20, was arrested on Feb. 26 and charged with being accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. "For investigative reasons, these details were not released to the media at the time of her arrest," police said.

Earlier that month, Sheldon Bertrum Worme, 24, of Calgary was charged with first-degree murder in Levesque's death, but that charge was not kept secret.

The cause of Levesque's death has not been released, also for investigative reasons.

Police said robbery was the likely motive behind the killing and there may be more accomplices. In January, investigators released images taken from C-Train surveillance cameras of people who might have information relevant to the case.

"A year to the day after this homicide was committed, police are continuing to investigate and are appealing to the public for additional information," police said.
