A cheeky demonstration took place in Drumheller, Alta., Saturday afternoon — Alberta's first World Naked Bike Ride.
The idea, according to organizer Jennifer Chow, was to promote cycling and have fun.
"We want motorists to be aware of bicycles on the road," she said.
"We also want people to see that cycling is fun and a great way of getting about, a great mode of transportation that's both healthy and good for the environment."
Chow, who rode nude, said not everyone wore their birthday suits — some donned costumes and others rode "in various states of undress."
She said the procession of cyclists moved slowly, so riders didn't have to "worry about issues like chaffage."
Similar nude rides also took place in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, and in dozens of countries around the globe.
Chow said she participated in the naked ride in Victoria in the past, and thought it was high time to bring the event to Alberta.
