Police probe 2 suspicious deaths in southwest

Police said there was a foul odour inside this house in Mission on Monday morning. (Justin Pennell/CBC)Calgary police are investigating at a rooming house in Mission after they found a body inside on Monday.
Officers, who were called after complaints of a foul odour at the southwest home, found the body in one of the rooms. The deceased is believed to be a man in his 50s.
The building was cleared while police, including homicide investigators, gathered evidence.
Meanwhile, an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday on a man's body found inside the basement of a Braeside townhouse in the 11400 block of Braniff Road S.W. on Sunday afternoon.
A man's body was found inside a Braeside townhouse on Sunday afternoon. (Justin Pennell/CBC)Neighbours say the man lived there with his wife and two children. They said they heard shouting and fighting on Sunday as well as a possible gunshot.
Police said no one is in custody in the case, and no charges have been laid.
Both deaths are considered suspicious deaths until the results of autopsies are released, said police.
