A death that police were treating as a possible homicide in southwest Calgary is no longer considered suspicious, police say.

Officers were called after a jogger found a badly injured unconscious man in his 40s on the South Glenmore Park pathway shortly after 7 p.m. MT on Tuesday evening.

The man was taken to hospital and later died of his injuries, triggering a homicide investigation into what police were calling an “undetermined death”.

But on Wednesday morning police said the death is no longer considered suspicious.

No one is in custody and no suspects are being sought, police said.
