Siksika man charged with killing partner with vehicle

Police have charged a man from Siksika Nation with the murder of his partner after responding to a hit-and-run complaint earlier this week.

41-year-old also charged with indignity to a body

A man from Siksika Nation has been charged with the murder of his partner.

The RCMP responded on April 30 to a home for a complaint of a hit and run.

At that point they were approached by a man who told them he had been in a fight with his partner and had run over him with a vehicle.

"The male also informed officers he removed the victim's body from the location and disposed it in a wooded area nearby," said RCMP in a release.

"Officers located the body in a wooded area approximately two kilometres away and confirmed he was deceased."

A 41-year-old is now charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a body.
