A series of storms moved through the Calgary area late Thursday and pummelled some spots with hail the size of golf balls.
At one point some parts of southern Alberta were under a tornado watch, and areas like Airdrie and Balzac were hit with heavy hail.
Gurpreet Rangi's car was in a parking lot north of Calgary. He expects auto repair shops will likely be busy this morning.
"I'm seeing a lot of damage on the hood here, on the top. Looks like there's a lot on the top actually, and just on the passenger side there's a lot of damage and the windshield ... got hit about four or five times."
The hail also broke the windows of some cars, and even some houses.
