Alberta Premier Alison Redford says she doesn't plan any new taxes or tax increases for the next three years.

An election-type radio ad started running today with that promise.

Redford said her government will be able to maintain all services without an increase.

"And as I have said a number of times now and continue to say if we look at our budget projections we have surpluses in following years so very clearly there's not going to be a requirement for new taxes or increased taxes," she says.

Redford does say the government still needs to discuss whether it is spending money effectively.

That will include a review of small business and corporate taxes to make sure they are competitive, she said.
