RCMP are looking for a white Cadillac Deville in connection to a shooting at CrossIron Mills mall north of Calgary.

The car is described as being a 1998 to 2002 model with a tan covered leather roof with a sunroof.

The shooting happened around 6 p.m. MT Wednesday in the mall parking lot.

A 42-year-old Airdrie man was driven to a Calgary hospital by a friend shortly after the shooting.

Police say the victim is known to them and the shooting was likely targeted.

"We are confident in reassuring the public, that this incident was not a random act," said Insp. Tony Hamori of the Airdrie RCMP.

"Our investigative team believes the victim and the offender are known to each other. While we have not yet identified the other party, we are committed to ensuring that the public feels safe and will be providing an increased presence of uniformed officers in and around the CrossIron Mills mall throughout the remainder of the holiday shopping season."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
