Public school board elects new chair
Calgary Board of Education trustees choose Joy Bowen-Eyre to replace Sheila Taylor
The Calgary Board of Education has a new chair.
In an organizational meeting on Tuesday trustees handed the leadership to Joy Bowen-Eyre, trustee for Wards 1 and 2.
Bowen-Eyre and Sheila Taylor, the previous chair, were both nominated.
But Taylor bowed out of the running for a second term in the position so Bowen-Eyre got the job by acclamation.
