Poverty remains in prosperous Calgary, says initiative
More than 100,000 people in Calgary live below the poverty line — a number that the Calgary Poverty Reduction Initiative wants to change.
The initiative is a joint effort between the city and the United Way. This week, the group presented its final report to a city committee.
