Banff RCMP officers have once more discovered possible human remains, this time near Mount Norquay in Banff National Park.

In August hikers found some bones, including a skull, near the base of Cascade Mountain.

That prompted an extensive search of the surrounding forest. However, police say the remains discovered this time are outside of that initial search area.

After the August discovery, police said it was possible the remains had been unearthed by flood waters and carried to the location where they were found.
