Calgary police believe a man reported missing by his family in February was the victim of a homicide.
Suryan Giama, 25, was last seen by a family member on Feb. 17 at a residence in the Calgary neighbourhood of Woodbine.
Giama’s dark grey, 2007 four-door Toyota Camry was found in southwest Calgary on March 19.
"A thorough investigation, which included several searches in and around Calgary, has led detectives to believe Giama was likely murdered. Officers are now working to trace his final movements prior to his disappearance," police said in a release.
Police describe Giama as being of Somalian descent, approximately 6 feet tall, 150 lbs., with a slim build and a goatee.
