Police seek suspect after Airdrie man beaten with pipe

Airdrie RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect behind a local beating that took place last week.

Airdrie RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect behind a local beating that took place last week.

According to RCMP, an Airdrie man was involved in an argument with the suspect on June 27 around 4:15 p.m. MT. 

The suspect was unknown to the man.

When the man tried to drive away on Big Hill Road, the suspect jumped a fence onto the road in front of the man's vehicle.

The suspect then smashed the window of the victim's vehicle with a pipe, then struck the victim with the pipe. 

The suspect then pulled the victim out of his vehicle and struck him in the face before fleeing the scene with a third unidentified man who collected the pipe before leaving.

RCMP haven't disclosed the extent of the victim's injuries.

The suspect is described as Caucasian with long black hair and a moustache or goatee. He is roughly five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 160 lbs. 

He wore a black t-shirt and shorts at the time of the incident and had a chain on his wallet.
