Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who fled the scene after causing an accident earlier this week that left one person critically injured.

The hit-and-run crash happened Wednesday around 8:25 p.m. MT at the intersection of Anderson Road and 14th Street S.W.

The driver of a 2005 Hyundai Accent was waiting in the left-turn lane on Anderson Road when he was rear-ended and pushed out into the intersection by an unknown vehicle.

A westbound 2003 Dodge Durango was unable to steer around the Hyundai, hitting its right side.

The 19-year-old man in the Hyundai's front passenger seat was critically injured in the crash. Everyone else in the two vehicles suffered minor injuries, police said.

Investigators believe the third motorist, who fled the scene, was driving either a Dodge Dakota or Toyota Tundra mid- to full-size pickup truck with a front bumper height taller than most vehicles.

Anyone who has information about the crash is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service traffic section or Crime Stoppers.
