Police seek 2 in home invasion stabbing
Police say they have the names of two suspects
Calgary police are looking for two suspects after a home invasion and stabbing Sunday morning in southwest Calgary.
The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. MT at a home in the 2800 block of 39th Street S.W. Police say two people, a male and a female, were inside the home at the time.
"Two offenders forced their way into the residence and subsequently attacked and stabbed the male victim that was in the residence," said Keith Cain, duty inspector with the Calgary Police Service.
"The male suffered, initially, life-threatening injuries that included a collapsed lung, and his condition fortunately has been upgraded to stable."
Cain says the victim is co-operating with police and that the attack was targeted.
Police say they have the names of two suspects they believe may be responsible, but have not released the names to media.
