A man in his 60s was injured in an attack by two people on bicycles in southwest Calgary on Tuesday evening.

It happened in the 1700 block of 24th Street S.W. just after 8 p.m. MT.

Police are asking for help from the public as they search the suspects, a man and a woman.

The male suspect is five foot eight to six foot one, with short brown hair.

He was shirtless with black sandals, grey and black knee-length shorts and carrying a black backpack.  He rode a dark black or green full-suspension mountain bike.

The female suspect is five feet four to five feet eleven. She was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt, multi-coloured skirt, yellow and black hat and pink, blue and black running shoes.

She had a grey front-suspension mountain bike.

The victim is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
