Calgary police are investigating after a double shooting early Saturday morning in the city's southwest.

At about 3:25 a.m. MT, police were called for reports of shots being fired near 10 Avenue S.W. and 23 Street.

Police did not locate any victims at the scene but at 3:35 a.m. a local hospital called to report two men had been admitted for gunshot wounds.

One arrived in a car, the other by taxi.

A man between 25 and 30 remains in critical condition while a 21-year-old man is being treated for minor injuries.

Detectives are waiting to talk to both victims.

Several people from the scene were also taken to police headquarters for questioning and police say those individuals have been cooperating with the investigation.

So far, no suspects have been identified but reports suggest the incident is linked to a private party held at 8 Weapons Fitness and MMA Gym.
