Calgary police are hoping video surveillance will provide clues in an early morning homicide.

Carlton Edlund, 50, stumbled into the Delta Bow Valley hotel around 3:30 a.m. MT Friday suffering from a stab wound to his chest.

He was transported to hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Several roads in the area are closed while police conduct their investigation.
