Motorist strikes pedestrian on Macleod Trail in southwest Calgary

A man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition last night after he was hit by a truck on Maceod Trail, SW.

Police trying to determine if alcohol was a factor

A man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition last night after he was hit by a truck on Macleod Trail, in southwest Calgary.

The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. MT at the intersection with 61st Avenue, SW.

Calgary police say the man, in his 30s, was crossing Macleod Trail. It's believed the truck had a green light.

Police are trying to determine if the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol.
