Holiday revelers can leave their cars overnight in city-run parking spaces at no extra charge under a Christmas-time program meant to discourage drunk driving.
The Calgary Parking Authority’s “Extend Your Stay” offer lets customers who have paid for a parking session on Friday or Saturday evening leave their vehicles until 10 a.m. the next morning for free.
"This option allows drivers to leave their vehicles with us so that they can make their way home safely,” said CPA general manager Troy McLeod in a release.
This is the third year the program has been offered.
There is a map of all the CPA surface parking lots and parkades on its website. Or drivers can download the authority’s MyParking app.
