Woman airlifted to Calgary hospital in life-threatening condition after Highway 22X crash
Paramedics recommend avoiding area as investigation continues
One woman has been airlifted to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition following a multi-vehicle collision southeast of Calgary city limits Thursday, EMS said in a release.
Paramedics say the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 22X at Range Road 285.
The crash involved a semi-truck, a pickup truck and a sedan.
The woman had to be extricated from the severely-damaged sedan she was in. No other injuries have been reported.
EMS are recommending drivers avoid the area as traffic is being affected by the investigation.
