The evacuation order for Nordegg, Alta., has been lifted as firefighters gain the upper hand on a blaze in the area.
Around 50 residents were forced from their homes in the town 200 kilometres southwest of Edmonton on Sunday because of a wildfire.
The fire is classified as being "held." That means, with current weather conditions, firefighters do not expect that blaze to grow beyond its containment boundaries.
The town is now under a two-hour evacuation notice and residents should still be ready to leave in a hurry, RCMP said.
