No charges in fatal Saddleridge vehicle incident
Police say victim had thrown himself on hood of car in attempt to stop driver leaving
No charges will be laid in a fatal Saddleridge vehicle incident that took place over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the 100 block of Saddlecrest Green N.E. around 11 p.m. MT on Saturday for reports of a man in distress.
Initial reports suggested the victim had been hit by a car but police now say they have determined the man fell off the hood of the car after jumping on it.
It's believed the victim threw himself on the hood of the car in an attempt to stop the driver from leaving a residence.
He fell off and struck his head on the pavement, sustaining critical injuries.
He died overnight.
Police say that as the driver did not cause the incident, no charges will be laid.
The victim and the driver are known to each other and neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been involved.
