A new Parks Canada video shows employees relocating a newborn elk calf.

The calf was lying in the grass in a populated area, and its mom was none too happy about all the people around.

So, a group of  conservation officers gently picked up the calf in a blanket.

They carried it on foot further away — all the while fending off mom, while making sure she followed them.
