Murder charges have been laid against two men after an assault victim died late Tuesday night.

Police were called to a strip mall parking lot at 2936 Radcliffe Drive S.E. on July 5 at about 3:40 a.m. MT for reports of an unconscious man.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man, who was unconscious, later died just before midnight on Tuesday.

An autopsy has determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The victim has been identified as Ayuen Ajak Goot, 18, also known as Devon Goot of Calgary.

Police believe the victim was targeted and known to the suspects.

On Wednesday, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were arrested in Dover.

They have both been charged with second-degree murder. This was the 19th homicide of 2014.
