A Calgary man was arrested for allegedly driving 197 km/h on Highway 2.

Airdrie RCMP stopped the motorcyclist heading southbound near Crossfield after getting 911 calls about a speeding driver.

Charges are pending against the 21-year-old, whom police allege didn’t have insurance and failed to produce a drivers’ licence. He is also accused of operating a vehicle of an unauthorized class, as well as improper use of a licence plate.
