Motorcycle crash sends man to hospital with serious injuries
Driver is 57-year-old B.C. man who appears to have lost control of motorcycle
A motorcycle crash in southern Alberta has sent a 57-year-old B.C. man to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP say they were dispatched to a motorcycle crash around 9:30 p.m. MT on Friday for reports of a motorcycle crash on Highway 2 near Crossfield.
The crash involved a 2000 Honda CBR sport motorcycle and RCMP say the driver appears to have lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into a cable-barrier that divides the northbound and southbound lanes.
The man suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and RCMP are asking any witnesses to the crash to contact the Airdrie Integrated Traffic Unit at 403-945-7200.
