Six people have now been charged after thousands of dollars of damage was done to headstones in Lethbridge.

Police in the southern Alberta city say white marble headstones in the St. Patrick's Cemetery were broken last week.

The gravestones were in an older part of the cemetery and some of the markers date back to the early 1900s.

The total damage was estimated at $47,600.

Six people ranging in age from 18 to 31 are facing mischief charges.
