The body of an American kayaker who disappeared in the middle of a storm without a life-jacket in August has been recovered on the shore of Alberta's Bow Lake, near Lake Louise.
RCMP and Parks Canada search crews recovered Matthew Andre Brown's body on Sept. 13 about a metre from shore in about 61 centimetres of water, police said Wednesday.
Brown, 30, was reported missing on Aug. 9 after he took his rented kayak for a solo trip on Bow Lake. A storm blew through the region that afternoon.
A search found only the overturned kayak in the water with the Florida man's belongings still inside.
The RCMP reminded people to always wear life-jackets when using watercraft.
