Redcliff RCMP identify man found walking along southern Alberta highway

​RCMP in Redcliff have now identified a man who was found walking along the side of a southern Alberta highway on Tuesday and in need of medical help.

​RCMP in Redcliff have now identified a man who was found walking along the side of a southern Alberta highway on Tuesday in need of medical help.

The RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.

"We are especially grateful to the folks at South Eastern Alberta Search and Rescue for their work over the past couple of days," said RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters in a news release. 

"They provided a great service and a lot of people to help us reunite this family."

Around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, a person driving along Highway 3 south of Medicine Hat alerted RCMP to a man walking at the side of the road who they thought was in need of assistance.

Officers were dispatched and the man was transported to hospital in Medicine Hat. The man appeared to be disoriented and confused, and police and medical staff were initially unable to determine his name.
