Officials have released pictures and video of a man wanted for assaulting a Calgary bus driver earlier this year.

On June 3 at about 11:50 p.m. the man got on the Calgary Transit bus at the Heritage LRT station.

In a cellphone video apparently shot by another passenger, the man is seen using offensive language and drinking from a liquor bottle.

The bus driver asked the man to stop being disruptive, but he refused, police said.

When the bus driver threatened to call police the suspect walked to the front of the bus.

After the two exchanged a few words, the suspect punched the driver in the face and left the bus.

The driver required medical attention, police said. The suspect is described as having light brown complexion. He was wearing a camouflage bandana, a black sweater and blue pants.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
