Calgary police have charged one man with the robbery of a jewellery store inside Market Mall last November.

Police believe two suspects in a white Dodge SUV rammed their way through an entrance to the northwest mall early in the morning on Nov. 5.

Police say the suspects then broke into a store called Jewels by Maxime’s and took high-end watches believed to be worth about $139,000.

Damage to the mall was estimated at $150,000.

Calgary police later found the vehicle believed to be the one involved in the robbery in the nearby community of Varsity.

The man who has been charged was in custody in Coquitlam, B.C., on another matter, but he was brought to Calgary for questioning.

He has been charged with two counts of break and enter and one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The investigation is continuing as police search for a second suspect.
