Lock your doors, police warn Killarney residents after break-ins
6 break and enter incidents reported in the community over past week
Calgary police are warning Killarney residents to lock their doors after a series of nighttime break-ins.
Six break and enter incidents have been reported in the community between Aug. 19 and Aug. 26 and police say that in all of the cases, the culprits gained access to the homes through unlocked windows and doors.
Police say many of the residences had people in them at the time of the break-ins but aren't saying if the cases are all connected.
Residents are advised to be vigilant and keep their homes locked even if they are inside.
Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
