A man is in custody after a liquor store robbery early Monday morning.

It happened at the Liquor Wine and Spirits on the 200 block of Haddon Road S.W. at about 2 a.m. MT.

The culprit reversed his white GMCAstro into the store, loaded some liquor into the vehicle and sped off.

Police were quickly able to corner the suspect on a dead-end road and arrest him without incident.

Officers later determined the van had been stolen last October.
