An Edmonton couple is facing multiple drug and theft charges following a traffic stop in Lethbridge on Saturday. 

Police pulled the vehicle over for a traffic offence and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in Edmonton and contained more than 400 grams of methamphetamine. Officers also seized multiple other drugs and $1,340 in cash.

Police estimate the drugs have a street value of more than $80,000. The vehicle contained more than $15,000 in what police suspect to be stolen property. 

The couple has been charged with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of cannabis resin,
  • Possession of oxycodone
  • Possession of codeine
  • Possession of morphine
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000.
